How your data
is handled.
Simulation instructions pass between your Mac and a trusted iPhone.
Maps, purchases and downloads use online services, as explained below.
The configuration and download API does not receive coordinates, routes or phone identifiers. Selected places, favorites and recovery markers stay on your Mac. Necessary map search and route planning data is handled by the relevant services. No iNavMock product account is required.
Information kept on your Mac
- Selected places and favorites: Your last selected location and the places or routes you choose to save, including names, coordinates, point order, travel mode and speed choice. Favorites do not sync to the cloud or upload to the configuration API.
- Preferences and supporting state: Language, appearance, travel mode, cached guide and download configuration, trial timing helpers, technical operation counts and review invitation state. The trial period ultimately comes from verified App Store transactions.
- Connection and recovery: While running, Runner uses the phone name, system version and device identifier to select and connect a device. It stores an identifier for a phone that may need restoration locally, without coordinate history. The relevant marker is cleared after a successful restoration response.
- Connection component cache: Necessary components downloaded during first-time preparation are kept on your Mac for future connections. They are not phone location records.
Your Mac's device services manage trust and pairing records. Do not share pairing files. A restoration response does not prove iPhone Maps has refreshed; check your actual position on your iPhone.
Trial and purchases
You actively claim the free trial through a zero-price App Store product. It lasts 24 consecutive hours from the verified first transaction, with unlimited changes and no automatic charge. You decide whether to make a one-time purchase afterward. Restoring purchases does not reset trial time.
Apple processes transactions and the app verifies access. The app does not receive Apple Account passwords or payment card details. The iNavMock API does not create installation identities, store trial periods, counts, sessions or ratings, or decide purchase access. Restoring real location is always free.
Online services and operational logs
Maps, transactions and device preparation
Map display, place search and route planning use Apple MapKit and its service providers. These actions make network requests; the relevant services process necessary place queries, map areas or route points. Trial claims and purchase restoration use the App Store. Device preparation may also communicate with Apple's device services for required verification.
Connection components and Runner downloads
Connection components come from fixed versions of GitHub-hosted resources at raw.githubusercontent.com, which receive download requests. Downloading Runner accesses the iNavMock API and Alibaba Cloud OSS. A temporary download signature grants access to the installer; it is not phone pairing information.
Website and API logs
The infrastructure serving this website, public configuration and downloads may record IP addresses, request times, paths and response status for operation, security and troubleshooting, not advertising profiles. These endpoints do not upload phone locations, routes or pairing records. Relevant logs are retained for as long as needed for these purposes. Use the email below for data requests.
Read the providers' policies: Apple Privacy Policy, GitHub Privacy Statement and Alibaba Cloud Privacy Policy.
Email you choose to send
Feedback opens your system mail app; you decide whether to send the message. The draft includes the app version, build number and macOS version, which you can edit or delete. It does not automatically include phone coordinates or pairing files.
If you send it, we receive your sender address, message and any screenshots or attachments you include, to reply and troubleshoot. Your mail service and our mailbox provider also process the email. Check the contents and hide anything you do not want to share. Do not send passwords, your real location or pairing files.
Your choices
- When you want to return, connect your iPhone until ready and click Restore real location. Pausing, ending movement, disconnecting or closing the main app does not actively restore it.
- Rename or delete favorites in the favorites menu. Deletion does not change your iPhone's current location or remove App Store transactions.
- Change language and appearance in app settings. Ignoring a review invitation does not affect features or purchase access.
- Uninstalling may leave some local preferences, component caches or system pairing records. Resolve your phone's simulation state before clearing local data. Contact us if you need help.
- Apple manages App Store trial and purchase records. Uninstalling or clearing local preferences does not grant another 24-hour trial.
